"Travessia" is a reflection on the urban life of the periphery, it is a reading of the world from the perspective of those who are on the margins, without necessarily being “marginal”, it is a daily newspaper.

This is because it brings to the stage the contradictions of the system that makes poor black, poor white, poor yellow, poor multicolored people suffer. "Travessia" takes place every day, from the periphery to the center, from the center to the periphery.

What is really urgent is to face the social ills and leave them far away, "in the areas" of the past, leaving them behind. By the way, why is it still hungry if the digitally globalized world launched a Hi-Tech spacecraft for a galaxy after the Milky Way? Have you forgotten about Haiti? Is Haiti here too? What's up? You have nothing to do with it?

Here in the neighborhood there are a lot of people doing Work-to-Home crossing, a lot of people crossing the spaces between the streets and alleys. There are a lot of people cooking on a platter, there are a lot of people doing mischief and a lot of people producing culture. There is life. There are people. Our lives are a plot, a tragicomedy ... a drama ... a black drama that begs the Saints to get out of the mud and get through the pain of losing eleven victims of youth lethality.

In "Travessia", dance is the art of change, our movement is for change, our body is change. Our leap is to look deeper into the world and our spin is to organize the planet, so that, as Milton Nascimento sings, by jumping, “I loose my voice on the road, I don't want to stop anymore… my path is stone ... how can I dream? ”And yet we dream of an insistence of“ inside out, inside out inside out ”, which through my verse translates the real that hurts, drowns and rejoices life!
